Love the revival of ancient music, had a question, this might not be worth the time to research so don’t, but I just wondered if off the top of your head you might know something about this :
I once saw in a music store a song book open on a piano and it was the song ‘Santa is coming to Town’, no mistake about it, in parenthesis it said “From an Ancient Persian Hymn”, I assume the Zorostrians were meant, of course they did not celebrate Christmas (neither do I incidentally), searched the Gathas (not comprehensively though) and the Avesta a little, couldn’t find anything, do you happen to know what part of the song is borrowed from Ancient Persian and it’s source ? I don’t have any money, please don’t spend time researching this. josephpalumbo56@outlook.com
